SACKMIRE, Charles J - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Kingman, Sept 19 -- Charles Jacob Sackmire, Kingman undertaker, died at the Lakeview hospital in Danville, Ill., tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock following an operation for a liver ailment. The deceased was born on April 11 1882, the son of Gephart and Louisa Elizabeth Sackmire, and on November 18 1914, was married at Danville, Ill., to Mabel Marshall of that place. The deceased spent his entire married life in this community. For the past fifteen years he had been an undertaker here. He was a member of the Centennial U.B. Church. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Henry Sackmire, nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held from the Centennial U.B. Church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The body will lie in state at the church until that hour. Burial will be in the Zackmire Cemetery.
