RUSK, Raymond - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Raymond Rusk of Veedersburg, age 85, died Monday morning, May 3, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Veedersburg, October 21, 1896, the son of Hannibal and Elizabeth Casteel Rusk. July 23, 1919, he married Berniece Leath, who survives. He had retired in 1972 after working as custodian of Veedersburg Post Office for 13 years.

  Also surviving are four daughters, Wreatha Weigle and Barbara Roark, both of Plymouth, Mary Snyder of Austin, Texas, and Betty Harding of Attica; a son, Dean of Lafayette; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. A son, Wayne, preceded him in death.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg.
