Charles Rusk, aged 36 and unmarried of 3 miles west of here, died this morning at 7 at the home of his parents. His death was unexpected as he spent the afternoon on Tuesday in this city. His death was due to tuberculosis of the spine of which he had been suffering for the last 10 months. For the last 4 weeks he had been a frequent visitor in Waveland during this time. When he went to his home Tuesday afternoon no one thought who saw him while he was in Waveland that he would be dead within a few hours. For several years he has been spending the winters in the south. He was the son of William Rusk and Martha Jenkins Rusk. They with two brothers, Cecil near Marshall and Perry, near Waveland, survive. Mr. Rusk was a general favorite in and about Waveland and his many friends will indeed be sorry to learn of his untimely death. Plans for the funeral were not completed this afternoon but it is expected that services will be sometime Friday. - typed by kbz
