Mrs. Frank Rushing (sic - Rusing) 72, Stone Bluff, died at the Lake View Hospital, Tuesday night after having been ill for the past few weeks. She fell at her home on Feb 19th fracturing her hip. This and complications caused her death. The deceased was the daughter ofJohn and Kathryn Kunkel and was b. in Pa. on March 4, 1863. The family moved to the union neighborhood near Newtown when she was 4 years of age. Since that time she has continuously resided in this co. She was first married to Benjamin Hanley who died several years ago. Five years ago she was married Frank Rusing, who survives. There are also two children, Mrs. Lena Young, Stone Bluff and Mrs. Hollis Boden, Veedersburg. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Stone Bluff Church with burial at Union Cemetery.

Inquest into death of Mrs. Anna Rushing, 71, Stone Bluff, Ind who died at Lake View Hospital Tuesday afternoon, March 17, 1936 was held Tuesday night by Coroner HG Lanham.  Verdict of the jury was that death resulted from hypostatic pneumonia caused from injuries received in a fall on ice at her home Feb 19.  The body was taken to Veedersburg by Fred Parham, funeral director where funeral arrangements were to be made.  Mrs. Rushing suffered a broken hip in the fall at her home. She had lived in the vicinity of Stone Bluff nearly all her life, being brought to the community as a child by her parents, John and Elizabeth Kunkle. She was born Oct 4, 1864.  Surviving are her husband, Frank; two daughters, Mrs. Bidd Boden, Petersburg, Ind and Mrs. Wright Young, Stone Bluff and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Taylor, Danville and Mrs. James Hancock, Stone Bluff. – kbz
