David Russing, stepfather of Eugene Chrisman, who has been residing in the antic neighborhood near Hillsboro, died at Culver hospital at Crawfordsville Monday evening about 5:30 o'clock after a very brief illness. Death was caused by a bursted blood vessel of the head. He made his home with Mr. Chrisman and family and had been assisting them to move their household goods to the John Shade farm near Mellott. He was stricken Saturday night and the attending physician advised that he be taken to Crawfordsville at once. He was taken on Sunday afternoon, but no hopes were given out for his recovery and a surgical operation was not performed. Mr. Rusing was about fifty five years old and is survived by one brother Frann Rusing of Veedersburg, and a step son Eugene Chrisman with whom he has been residing since the death of his wife. A short funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock and interment will be made in Rockfield cemetery near Veedersburg.
