Davis Runyan, better known to all old Waynetown friends as “Bud,” who for the past 24 years has been identified with the Pacific Cold Storage Company and its successors in the far north country has been advanced in the interests of the company and this year leaves Dawson, Youkon Territory, Canada and goes as the company’s representative at Mayo. In Speaking of the change the Dawson Daily News concludes the item with the following: Mr. Runyan will go to Seattle in the fall, where he will be assigned duties under direction of the home office the coming winter. Mr. Runyan has been identified with the large meat interests of the Pacific Cold Storage and its successors in the North for many years. He came to Dawson in 1898 and was here until 1900 when he went to Eagle where he spent five years. After that he was in Nome for eight years and then at Lower Yukon River points and has been in charge of the Waechter interests in Dawson the lst three years. The many friends of the popular Dawson manager will regret to lose him but will be pleased to know he remains with the company in a more responsible and important capacity. - kbz
