Mrs. Mary Blakeney Royse, a pioneer resident of Indiana and wife of AJ Royse well known resident of Covington passed away at her home on East Liberty Street in the above city at 12:20 o’clock last Thursday afternoon. She had been ill for several months from cancer of the stomach. Funeral services were held from the residence Saturday at 10 o’clock with Rev. Elmore in charge of the services. Interment was made in the Rogers cemetery across the river in Warren County.  Mrs. Royse was born in Vermilion County Ill Feb 9, 1853 and married AJ Royse in 1871. Besides her husband she leaves 7 children and one sister.
