Perrysville—John P. Royse, 75, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 in Perrysville. He had been ill several years.
Born in 1898 in Perrysville, he was the son of Samuel B. and Emma Hanna Royse.
A life resident of Perrysville, he had been a carpenter. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 350.
Survivors include a cousin, Mrs. Nellie Baumas of Lafayette; three nieces, Mrs. Pauline Whittle of Cayuga, Eldora Royse and Mrs. Loraine Winters, both of California; and a nephew, James VanNote in California.
Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Harry Karg officiated. Burial was in Hicks Cemetery.
