Hillsboro, Aug 13 - Victor L. Ross, 67, a farmer residing near here died following a short illness at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Eva Peck, 1123 Vorhees Street, Danville, Ill according to word received here. Mr. Ross was stricken with paralysis Sunday about noon while attending the Ross-Carter reunion at Lincoln Park in Danville. He was stricken just as they were preparing to serve the dinner and a physician was summoned. He was removed to his sister's home and placed under the care of a trained nurse. The deceased was born Oct 11, 1866 near Fairmount, Ill, the son of John and Rebecca ROss. He was married about 38 years ago to Miss Martha Kerr of Hillsboro. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Emmett Stafford of Indianapolis; two brothers, Frank Ross of Danville, Ill and William Ross of Champaign, Ill; six sisters, Mrs. Dollie Miller of Rossville, Ill; Mrs. Mattie Drollinger and Mrs. Lottie Reynolds of Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Lydia Wood of Idaho; Mrs. Eva Peck of Danville, Ill; and Mrs. Nerva Haloran of Clinton and a granddaughter, Rose Mary Stafford of Indianapolis. The body was to be brought to the Ross home, SE of here tonight. The funeral arrangements are not complete. - kbz
