Funeral services for Joe Vernon Ross, 19 of Covington were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Theodore Simonton officiating. Interment was made in the Rockfield Cemetery, south of Veedersburg. Joe Vernon Ross passed away Sunday at the Robert Long Hospital where he had been a patient two months. A son of Joe and Mildred Alexander Ross, he was born Jan 1, 1942 in Williamsport. He attended the Nazarene Church and the Bethel Full Gospel Church at Covington. Surviving are the parents; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Alexander of Danville, Ill; a half sister Mrs. Betty Kinney of Danville; four sisters, Mrs. Patricia Pickering of West Lebanon; Marion Lea; Judith and Donna at home and brother, Danny Ross at home. He attended school in Cicero, Ind and Danville, Ill. – kbz
