James Phillip "Jamie" Ross, three-year-old grandson of Dr. and Mrs. George Crane, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Dr. and Mrs. Crane's summer home in Hillsboro. He had been ill two and a half years.
The child was born in New Jersey Sept. 11, 1962.
Survivors, in addition to the grandparents at Hillsboro, include: the parents, Andrew B. and Judith A. Crane Ross of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; two brothers, Matthew J., age 7, and Peter G., 6; one sister, Deborah E., age 5; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bela A. Ross of New York City.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley & Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Eugene Moore of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Glen Ellyn, Ill., officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
