COVINGTON — Jesse Roy "Jack" Romine, 42, of 620 Commercial St., a real estate broker and contractor here, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill since last November. Mr. Romine was the owner of the Romine Real Estate Agency. A native of near Covington, he was a son of Roy L. and Lola Smith Romine and was born Aug. 28, 1927. He was married to Geneva Orahood on June 18, 1950. He was a member of the VFW and a past chancelor of Tidal Lodge 36, K. of P., of Covington. Mr. Romine was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Surviving are his wife; his parents, of Covington; a son, Jack, at home;. a brother, Samuel of East Lynn, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Rosemary) Tudor of Marshall, three nieces, a nephew, three aunts, two uncles and several cousins. A sister died in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hegg Funeral Home in Covington, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
