ROMINE, Daniel - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Daniel R. Romine, 80 of Perrysville died at 9 p.m. Wednesday (Feb 8, 1961) at the Vermillion County Nursing Home at Newport.  Born April 25, 1880 at Covington he was a son of Sophonia Culbertson Romine.  He was married in 1900 to Lydia Jane Nolan who preceded him in death in 1914.  He had resided most of his life in Fountain and Vermillion Counties. Surviving are six children: Sanford of Indianapolis; Manford, Orvil of LaPorte; Gerald of Chicago; Mrs. Edith Gritten of Indianapolis and Mrs. Dorothy Lutz of Brail and several grandchildren. He was the last survivor of the family.  Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Burial was in Zackmire Cemetery east of Kingman. – kbz
