COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Eugene Roman, 72, of Covington Route 3, died at 10:15 p.m. (Nov. 2, 1973) at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1901, at Stringtown, the son of Charles and Anna Pugh Roman. He married Elizabeth McClure on March 4, 1933 and she survives. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ruby Graham, of Covington; a nephew and two nieces. Mr. Roman was preceded in death by two brothers. A resident of Stringtown and Covington area all his life, his hobbies were rug weaving and gardening. He was a former coal miner and a former foreman of the Danville Asphalt Co, Also he was a member of Moose Lodge 1482 in Attica. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery and visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Moose Lodge services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. – jlr
