NEWTON -- Services for Mrs. Edith Rogers, 68, resident of the Newtown area until about 1947 who died at 9 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 17, 1968) at the hospital in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with burial there. Mrs. Rogers had been ill about 10 days following a cerebral hemorrhage. Native of near Glasgow, Ky., she was born April 1, 1900, and moved to this area at about the time of her marriage in 1936 to Harry Rogers of Newtown. He died four years ago. Survivors include a brother, Dick Lane, formerly of Danville and now of Palm Springs, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Linnie Pedigo of Louisville, Ky. A son, Paul, was killed in action with the U. S. Army in World War II. A brother, Jack, also preceded her in death. --typed by Walt W

NEWTOWN — Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Rogers, age 68, a former resident of the Newtown area, who died at 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the hospital in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs. Burial was in a cemetery there.
