ROGERS, Dolores Allen - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG — Dolores M. Rogers, 85, died Thursday June 5, 2008 at her residence near Veedersburg. Mrs. Rogers was born October 23, 1922 in Parke County, the daughter of Charles C. and Estella M. (Grimes) Allen. She married Vernon C. Rogers July 23, 1944 in Sun Prairie, Wisc. He preceded her in death. Dolores was a member of the Sterling Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Rogers, Speedway; Larry C. (Diana) Rogers, Danville; a daughter Carol A Rogers, Indianapolis; sister Evelyn (Sam) Boatman, Danville, Ill.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by a daughter Catherine M., an infant son Raymond E, two brothers and a sister. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday June 9 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home. – jlr
