WALLACE — Funeral services for John Rodgers, age 73, a life resident of the Wallace community, who died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, in an out-of-town hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiated and burial, with the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home of Hillsboro in charge, was in the Lutheran Church Cemetery. Mr. Rodgers, who had been ill about one year, was born Feb. 10, 1891, near Wallace, the son of Andrew J. and Margaret Parks Rodgers. He was married March 10, 1917, to Tressie Mae Clore, who preceded him in death Jan. 1, 1960. He is survived by: two sons, Charles of Crawfordsville and Kenneth of Zionsville; one daughter, Mrs. Norma Murphy of Crawfordsville; one brother, Glen of Hillsboro rural route; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sans, Charles of Crawfordsville and Kenneth of Zionsville; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Murphy of Crawfordsville; one brother, Glen of Hillsboro R; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother and three sisters.
