Danville, Ill. --- Funeral services for Mrs. Tina F. Roderick, age 77, of 208 Nicklas Ave., a former resident of the Foster and State Line communities in Indiana, who died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pape Memorial Home here. Mrs. Roderick, who had been in failing health 10 days, was admitted to the hospital two hours before her death. She was an aunt to Mrs. Ross Sadler of Sadler's Cleaners, south side of the square in Covington. She was born July 4, 1886 near Castlewood, Va., the daughter of David and Irene Forbus Shuff. The family moved to the vicinity of State Line and she attended school at Foster, Ind., after which she was a housekeeper for several years. She was married Jan. 11, 1905 in Danville to Simeon E. Roderick, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Roderick farmed in Newell Township, near State Line, and in Warren County, Ind., before moving to Danville. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: two daughters, Mrs. Opal Smith of New Richmond, Ind., and Mrs. Ruby Lake of Danville; three sons, Garland E. and Carl L., both of State Line, and Arthur of Tipp City, Ohio; a brother, Gordon Shuff of Hoopeston, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Ewald of Anderson, Ind., and Miss Glee Shuff of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the State Line Christian Church. Mrs. Roderick was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alfred; three brothers and three sisters. The Rev. C. M. Read officiated and burial was in Walnut Corner Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
