Owen P. Roderick, 65, former resident of 223 S. Griffin, but more recently of Atwood, Ill., died at 8:15 p. m. Friday (March 19, 1965) in St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur where he had been a patient a week. Mr. Roderick was employed as a truck driver for Ecoff Trucking Lines of Tuscola, Ill., and prior to this had worked for Hall Freight Lines of Danville. Born December, 1899, he was the son of Perry and Maude Kent Roderick. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Atwood American Legion Post. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. Survivors include the widow, Ethel; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Kruzich of Catlin, Mrs. Jean Dobbles and Mrs. Eunice (Boots) Rummel, both of Danville; two half brothers, Charles and Raymond Roderick, both of West Lebanon, Ind., and five grandchildren. The body is at Barrick & Son Funeral Home where visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. today. Services will be at 10 a. m. Monday at the funeral home. James Landrum will officiate, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.   -- typed by Walt W
