12-17-61 Mrs. Dora Elizabeth (Johnson) Roderick, age 90, a resident of Warren County since 1910, died at 2:05 p. m. Sunday, Dec. ,17, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient one day. Mrs. Roderick had previously been a patient for five days at the Rudisill Nursing Home here. Born March 25, 1871, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of George and Maria Summers Johnson. She was married Jan. 28, 1892 to Alvin Roderick, who preceded her in death July 9, 1948. Mrs. Roderick was the last member of a family of six children and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Clarence of Danville Rt. 3, and Albert of Williamsport Rt. 2; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie VanLeer, Miss Edith Roderick and Mrs. Delta Taylor, all of Williamsport Rt. 2; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. today, Wednesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd Clapp of Champaign, Ill., officiated. Burial was in the West Lebanon Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Herbert, E1ton and Frances VanLeer, Vernon and Calvin Taylor and Arnold Jones. --typed by Walt W
