DANVILLE, ILL. -- Funeral services for Clarence Roderick, age 69, of Danville Rt. 3, brother of Albert Roderick, Mrs. Nellie VanLeer and Mrs. Delta Taylor, all of the Williamsport area, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Paul Curry officiated and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery here. Mr. Roderick died unexpectedly late Wednesday night at his home. Death was attributed to a heart condition. He was born in Vermilion County, Ill., Dec. 19, 1894, the son of Alvin and Doris Johnson Roderick. He had been employed for 32 years by the Hall Freight Lines before retiring three years ago. He was married Dec. 23, 1919 in Danville to Holda Moody, who survives. He attended the Baptist Church and was a member of the Teamsters Local 126. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Doris) Jones of Danville; one brother, Albert of Williamsport Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie VanLeer and Mrs. Delta Taylor, both of Williamsport Rt. 2; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by one sister.   --typed by Walt W
