ROBINSON, Russell - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Russell R. Robinson, 67, a former funeral director here and life resident of the community died at 8:30 p.m. Friday en route to Williamsport Community hospital. He suffered a heart attack. Born in Attica he was married to Blanche Manlove in 1946. He was a member of the Attica First Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, charter member of Rotary International and was a member of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. A graduate of Attica HS and Roister & Askin embalming College, Indianapolis, he was first associated with Metropolitan Haberdashery with JC Twiss in Attica. Later, Robinson and the late James A. Coffing with Twiss formed the Coffing & Robinson furniture store and mortuary. They were in business here 40 years until 1953 when the business was sold to LC Roemer & Sons. Robinson had been engaged in farming recently. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Hossellman of Lima, Ohio and a sister, Mrs. James Coffing of Attica. – kbz
