Homer Robinette, 61, Veedersburg businessman died suddenly about 7 p.m. Thursday March 9, 1961 while visiting his wife at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Robinette was sitting at the bedside of his wife who had entered the hospital as a patient a few days earlier when he slumped in his chair and died within a few minutes. He was the owner of Robinette Floral Shop and Greenhouse in Veedersburg which he had operated successfully for the past 16 years. Prior to opening his own business he was employed by the C&EI Railroad in Danville. He was born Aug 2, 1899 in Sheldon Ill son of William and Arista Robinette. He married Sylvia Harwood of Veedersburg on Sept 16, 1923. He was a member of the Veedersburg Lions Club, Masonic Order and State Florists Assn. Surviving are his wife; five brothers, James, Roy and Normal, all of Green Hill, Ind, Henry of Lafayette and Chester of St. Louis, Mo and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Miller and Mrs. Edith Wiggins of Lafayette. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fishero Funeral Home, Veedersburg. The Rev. Ralph Sell was the officiating minister. Burial was at Rockfield Cemetery. - kbz
