ROBERTS, Nettie Bruce - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Nettie V. Roberts, Veedersburg native, died at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Vermilion Nursing Home in Danville, Ill. Mrs. Roberts, 76, had been a patient at the home for the last three years. The deceased was the widow of Alvah Roberts who died on Nov. 10, 1961. She was born on April 14, 1891, the daughter of Riley and Sarah Ellingwood Bruce. She was married to Mr. Roberts in 1910 in Veedersburg. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church of Veedersburg. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Whelan, and a son, Leland Roberts, both of Danville. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Ivan Steed in charge. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.   --typed by Walt W
