Louis B. Roberts, 83, a life resident of Perrysville, died at 6:15 p. m. Monday, May 6, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had made his home with his sister-in-law, Mrs. Emily Johnson in Perrysville, for the past five months. Mr. Roberts was born February 2, 1874, in Perrysville, the son of Daniel and Sarah Jane Hutson Pillar Roberts. He was married Sept. 25, 1901, to Jennie Johnson, who preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 1953. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vinnie Sanders of Mt. Vernon; a brother, L. C. Roberts of Boston, Mass., one grandchild and three great-grandchildren. The body was at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home and was then taken to the Perrysville Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 8, where services were held at 2 o'clock. The Rev. J. W. Knight officiated and burial was in Hicks Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
