ROBERTS, John Q.

Mark Roberts, a former Paxton boy now of Eldorado, Kansas was a caller yesterday. He will be remembered by many of our older citizens as a son of John Q. Roberts, a pioneer farmer of Trickel Grove, who died in Fountain County, Ind 7 years ago. Mark has prospered in his western home where he has resided for the past 27 years and has for neighbors, John Neff and Frank Thrasher, both of whom were former residents of Button. Both are doing well. The mayor of Eldorado is a brother of LS Holderman of this city. Mark is a farmer but has perfected an attachment for the Westinghouse airbrake which prevents the derailing of cars in case of accident, which is to have a thorough test at Jacksonville, Ill. If as successful as he believes it to be, he will have a fortune in it. - kbz
