Frankfort—Harold D. Robbins, 78, formerly of 1601 S. Williams Road, Frankfort, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 1989 in Clinton House Convalescent Center.
He was born Aug. 6, 1910 in Cates. He had lived in Frankfort for many years and was a 1927 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was married Nov. 25, 1935 to Gladys Frey, who preceded him in death May 14, 1982.
He was a rural mailcarrier for 33 years, retiring in 1974. He formerly was president of the Indiana Rural Mailcarriers association. He also played the trumpet in several local bands.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Elks, Moose and Masonic lodges, all in Frankfort, and Murat Shrine in Indianapolis.
Surviving are a son, Fred J., Plano, Texas; one brother, A. L., Indianapolis, and one grandchild.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Goodwin Funeral Home in Chapel, Frankfort, with Dr. Hugh Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Bunnell Cemetery.
