VENICE, Fla. — Gilbert Lee Robbins, 41, Venice, Fla., formerly of Veedersburg, died Friday, April 18, 2003. He was born Feb. 12, 1962 in Danville, Ill., the son of Lloyd and Shirley Wilson Robbins. He had lived in Florida since 1985. He graduated from Covington High School. He loved sports. He was a heavy machine operator in construction installing underground telephone cable. Survivors include: his parents of Veedersburg; his wife, Margo, Venice, Fla.; a son, Britton Robbins, three step sons, Dan and Nick Agheisti and Tony Sarro, all of Venice, Fla.; a grandmother, Grace Wilson, Covington; two brothers, Les (Lisa) Robbins, Bradenton, Fla. and Ray (Dena) Robbins, Veedersburg; a half brother, John (Debbie) Robbins, Crawfordsville; three sisters, Cindy (Jim) Bushue, Covington, Sheri (Michael) Hinchman, Danville, Ill. and Jewel (Ron) Lockhart, Attica, a close family friend, Cliff Powell, Covington; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was at 5 p.m. Saturday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Tom Hunter officiating. – jlr
