WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) – Otto E. Ritchie, 53, of 302 Lincoln, died unexpectedly at 10:15 p.m. Sunday (March 3, 1974) at his home. Death was due to a heart attack. Born May 25, 1920, in Divernon, Ill., he was the son of William B. and Bessie Jones Ritchie. On Aug. 4. 1949, in Attica, he married Margaret Wallace, a cashier at Kroger in Attica, who survives. Mr. Ritchie came to Fountain and Warren counties in 1940 and had resided in Williamsport the past 15 years. He had been employed in the foundry at Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica for the past 33 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European theater. He was a member of the Divernon Presbyterian Church, Attica Veterans of Foreign War Post 3318 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2596 of Attica. Other survivors include a son, Kenneth D. of Houston, Tex., a daughter, Mrs. James (Marrilee) Talbott of Athens, Greece; four brothers, Harry of Attica, George of Lafayette and John and William, both of Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Tarran of Huntington Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Irene Jones in Arizona.
