Mrs. Julia Ritchey, widow of the late Hugh Ritchey of Davis Township, died at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Guy Waldrip, 4 miles east of Attica. The deceased had been in poor health for 9 months and death was caused from the infirmities of age. Mrs. Ritchey was 76 and had lived in Davis Twp 40 years. She was born at Danville, Ind and was a daughter of Major Henry Hall and wife. Mrs. Ritchey was a member of the Methodist Church and was a good Christian woman. She was a kind neighbor, ministered to the needy and worked for the betterment of the community in which she lived. She married Hugh RItchey 53 years ago, Mr. Ritchey having died a few years ago. Mrs. Ritchey is survived by 2 children: Will and Mrs. Guy Waldrip both of Davis Twp. She has no brothers or sisters living. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 this forenoon at the Guy Waldrip home, Rev. Watson, a former pastor of the Bethel and West Point churches officiating. Burial will be made in the Salem Cem in Davis Township --(typed by kbz)
