Mrs. Herbert J. (Ethel) Rinn, age 45, of 845 Hays Circle, Honolulu, Hawaii, a native of Covington, died at her home at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30. She had been ill since last July. Mrs. Rinn was born in Covington, Nov, 15, 1920, the daughter of George and Frances Webb Shuff. She was married to Herbert J. Rinn on Feb. 13, 1946, and he survives. She was graduated from Covington High School in 1938. She was employed by the Livengood Law Firm and the Wabash River Ordinance Plant during World War II. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: four sons, Patrick, Timothy, Herbert Jr., and Charles; all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Carwile and Mrs, Ruby Hall, both of Covington Rt. 1, and one brother, George Shuff Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son. Her husband has been in the U.S. Navy since 1938. He is the son of Mrs. Lyle Hegg, Covington. She had resided in Tacoma, Wash., and in Hawaii since 1946. Funeral services were held in Honolulu, where the body was cremated. The ashes will be returned to the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, for memorial services and burial in Mt. Memorial services for Mrs. Herbert j. (Ethel) Rinn, age 45, a native of Covington who died at her home in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Dec. 30, 1965, were held Saturday morning, July 9, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. The Rev. Donald Ashley, former pastor of the Covington Methodist Church, officiated and the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rinn was born in Covington, Nov. 15, 1920, the daughter of George and Frances Webb Shuff. She was married on Feb. 13, 1946, to Herbert J. Rinn, who survives.
