RILEY, Pearl Jones - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Pearl J. Riley, 91, Attica, died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, at her home. Born near New Ross on March 25, 1890, she was the daughter of William D. and Elizabeth Campbell Jones. She had resided in Attica since 1910. She married Everett Joseph Riley on July 28, 1915 in Attica. He died March 17, 1962.

  She was a telephone operator for the Attica Telephone Exchange for 25 years and a member of the First United Church of Attica, Royal Neighbors Lodge, and Davis Township Home Extension Club.

  Survivors include a son, Joseph F. Riley of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Roth of Castro Valley, California, and Mrs. Joseph Schmid of Kokomo; a sister, Mrs. Freda Losey of Tipton; 11 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.

  Services were today (Thursday) at First United Methodist Church in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Maus Funeral Home of Attica was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
