RILEY, Irene Crowder - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Irene Mae Riley of Crawfordsville, age 72, died Sunday evening, July 24, while visiting a son, Charles of Martinsville. She was born in Parke County, April 23, 1911, the daughter of George and Mary Effie Cox Crowder. October 28, 1928, she married Perry Riley, who died November 14, 1981. She was a member of the Church of God.

  Survivors include three daughters, Elsie VanHorn of Jasonville, Mary Rehmel and Maxine Riley of Crawfordsville; another son, Dale of Anchorage, Alaska; her mother, Mary Effie Crowder of Bloomingdale; two sisters, Mabel Pearson of Marshall and Bertha Brown of Bloomingdale; a brother, Freeman Crowder of RR, Bloomingdale; a sister-in-law, Eileen Crowder of Rockville; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Franklin Rose officiating. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. – thanks to S
