Charles Arthur Riley of Rt. 13, Lafayette, died at the home of Howard Beedle in Attica about 11 a.m. Sunday. He had been to the Veterans Hospital two weeks ago for a checkup. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. He had worked for Lyman Coal Co. before entering the service, but had been disabled and unable to work since discharge. He was born in Attica. Mr. Riley is survived by a brother, Robert Riley of Lafayette, and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Beedle, Mrs. Carl Baird and Mrs. Raymond Settles, all of Attica, and Mrs. Charles Godfrey of Lafayette. --typed by Walt W

ATTICA -- Funera1 services for Charles A. Riley, age 42, who died Saturday, May 22, at the home of his nephew, Howard Beedle of Lafayette Rt. 13, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Carl Sewell of the Free Methodist Church officiated and burial was in the Cooper Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Covington. Mr. Riley had been a resident of Attica until three months ago. He was a disabled veteran of World War II. Before entering service, he had been a truck driver. Death was attributed to natural causes. He was born July 22, 1922, in Attica, the son of Howard and Sarah Redman Riley. He is survived by: four sisters, Mrs. Charles Godfrey of Lafayette, Mrs. Frank Beedle, Mrs. Carl Laird and Mrs. Raymond Stetler, all of Attica, and one brother, Robert Riley of Lafayette. --typed by Walt W
