RIDGE, Ada Ellis

Mrs. Ada Ridge, 74, wife of A. Ridge died of a heart attack at her home in Guthrie, Okla at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Feb 15, according to a message received by her sister, Mrs. Gerty Pitman of Hillsboro. Mrs. Ridge suffered a stroke of paralysis six years ago and had never regained her former health. She visited at the home of her sister in Hillsboro two years ago.
She was born on a farm south of Hillsboro Nov 22, 1869, the daughter of James W. and Sarah Moore Ellis. She taught in the Cain Township schools and was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church. She was married to A.L. Ridge in 1897 and they went to housekeeping in Catlin, Ill where they resided for a few years and then moved to Guthrie, where they have lived for more than 40 years. The survivors are the husband and one son, Ivan Ridge at home, and one sister, Mrs. Pitman of Hillsboro and a large number of cousins and other relatives in the vicinity of Hillsboro.
