COVINGTON, Ind. — Mrs. Myrtle Ricketts died today (Sept. 13, 1969) at 8 a.m. at Alword Nursing Home in Attica, Ind. She was a life-long resident of Warren and Fountain Counties in Indiana. She was born Nov. 20, 1876 in Warren County, Ind., a daughter of Thomas and Ellen Piercy Gaskin. She married Fred Ricketts on March 20, 1897. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1934. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Merriel Myler, of Perrysville; Mrs. Audrey Melton, of Danville; Mrs. LaDoris Smith, of Covington, Ind.; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, a grandson, and a brother. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Covington. Funeral arrangements at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington are incomplete.
COVINGTON, Ind. — Services for Mrs. Myrtle Ricketts, 91, who died Yesterday (Sept. 13, 1969), will be at 2 p.m. (EDT) Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Friends will be received this afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Survivors include a daughter, Muriel Myler of Covington Route 2

Mrs. Ricketts who for many years resided with her daughter, Mrs. LaDoris Smith at 601 Commercial St, Covington was born in Warren County Nov 20, 1876, the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Piercy Gaskin. She married Fred Ricketts March 20, 1897 and he preceded her in death Aug 24, 1934. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, 5th St. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Muriel Myler of Covington Rt 2; Mrs. Audrey Melton of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Smith of Covington; two granddaughters and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one grandson and one brother. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. Harold Fogle, pastor of the First Church of Christ, Fifth St, officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park north of Danville. - kbz
