Leonard W. Ricketts of RR 1, Romney, age 62, died Sunday, July 18, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born in Warren County, January 9, 1920, the son of Robert W. and Frances Tanner Ricketts. December 24, 1946, he married Evelyn G. Powell, who survives. A 1938 graduate of Covington High School and a Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Fountain County Old Guard Post VFW and New Richmond American Legion. He worked many years with Ross Gear Division of TRW, Inc., in Lafayette as an electrician, retiring in 1978.
Also surviving are a daughter, Janet Campbell of Lafayette; his mother of Williamsport; three sisters, Fauniel Thurman and Treva Wilkinson, both of Williamsport and Sandra Mycroft of Covington; three brothers, Harold G. of Covington, Leslie and Kenneth, both of Williamsport; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Military graveside rites and burial were in West Lebanon Cemetery. ā thanks so much to āSā
