William M. Richardson Sr., age 84, a life resident of the Gessie community, southwest of Covington, died at 2 a.m. Friday, June 24, at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill. Mr. Richardson was born July 23, 1881, in Burton County, Mo., the son of Homer and Martha Hartman Richardson, He was married March 30, 1919 to Ruby Snoddy, who survives. He had farmed all of his life. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: four sons, George R. of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ralph of Danville, William Jr. of Covington Rt. 2, and Larry of Gessie; one sister, Mrs. Edna Hanna of Perrysville; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery, northeast of Gessie. --waw
