RICHARDSON, Nellie Hardesty - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Nellie H. Richardson, 89, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday Jan 2, 1962 at her home on Covington Rt 1. She had been a resident of Fulton Township near Snoddy’s Mill for more than 70 years.  Born Aug 2, 1872, in Boone County, she was the daughter of John R. and Mary Anne Riley Hardesty. She was married Aug 1, 1894 to Manly Richardson, who survives.  Mrs. Richardson had resided in Danville, Illinois a few years as a girl. She was a member of the Snoddy’s EUB Church and Ladies Aid. Other survivors include two sons, Fred of Veedersburg and Lewis of Kingman Route 2; three daughters, Grace and Madge both at home and Mrs. Merle Patton of Veedersburg Rt 3; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and infant son.  Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Friday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – kbz
