Covington - Wilma Keller Rich, 83 of Covington died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday in United Samaritan Medical Center, Danville, Ill. A life resident of Fountain County, she was a graduate of Kingman HS and had lived at Covington since 1943. She received her bachelor's and master's from ISU. She was a 3rd grade teacher at Yeddo, Cates and Covington for a total of 12 years and taught at Roselawn School, Danville, IL for 17. A 50-year member of Yeddo Chapter 313 OES, she also was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, Business & Professional Women of Danville, Ill, Amerian Association of University Women, Troy Wabash Republic Women, National Fed of Republican Women, Fountain Co Historical Society and American Association of REtired Persons. She was born Sept 16, 1906 at Yeddo to Milton Orr and Allie Williams Keller. On April 6, 1929, she married Leo A. Rich. He died August 28, 1970. Survivors include one son, James M. S. of Veedersburg; two granddaughters, Marci Roark and Jahn Songer, both of Veedersburg; two great grandsons and one nephew. A brother and a sister also are deceased. Services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Shelby Funeral Home of Covington with Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Burial il Bonebrake Cemetery at Veedersburg.
