VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Ruby S. Rich, 72, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville after a stay of only 10 days. She had been in failing health for several years. Mrs. Rich was a lifelong resident of Fountain County. She was a member of the Centennial Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Centennial Cemetery League. A daughter of Thomas and Lydia Summers Day, she was born on April 26, 1895, in Yeddo. She was married to Raymond Rich on Aug. 1, 1919. Rich died in 1958. Surviving are a brother, Harry Day, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Quentin (Maxine) Bryant of Williamsport and Mrs. S. R. (Mary) Anders and Mrs. Nellie Day, both of Veedersburg. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Centennial EUB Church. The body will be at the church one hour before the rites. Burial will be in the Centennial Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. - typed by Walt W.

Mrs. Ruby S. Rich, 72, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Danville where she had been a patient for 10 days. She had been in ill health for several years.  Mrs. Rich, formerly of Yeddo had been residing in Veedersburg with a sister, Mrs. Mary Anders. Born in Yeddo on April 26, 1895, Mrs. Rich was one of 11 children of Thomas and Lydia Summers Day. On Aug 1, 1919 she married Raymond Rich, who preceded her in death in 1958. Surviving are a brother, Harry Day of Phoenix, Ariz; three sisters, Mrs. Quentin (Maxine) Bryant of Williamsport Mrs. SR (Mary) Anders and Mrs. Nellie Bay of Veedersburg. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two at the Centennial EUB Church of which she was a member. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery. – kbz
