Leo A. Rich, 61, of 603 Washington, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday at his home in Covington. Death was unexpected. Born April 28, 1909 at Tangier, he was the son of James W. and Nellie Katherine Hicks Rich. He was married to Wilma Keller, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Sanford of Belleville; two brothers, Fred of Kokomo and Robert of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Gwendolyn Allen of St. Bernice; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Rich was supervisor of maintenance of the Wabash River Ordinance Works at Newport for 18 years. He worked at Deutsch Brothers at Danville, Ill for 10 years. A former resident of Yeddo, he was past master of Yeddo Masonic Lodge 636 and a member of Past Masters of Fountain County. He had been a Covington resident for several years and belonged to the Attica-Williams Rotary Club and Covington Lions Club. Services were at 3 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial in Bonebrake Cemetery. -- kbz
