LAFAYETTE — Lydia E. Rhodes, 95, Lafayette, formerly of Veedersburg, died at 11:13 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006 in Rosewalk Nursing Home, Lafayette. She was born Dec. 31, 1910, the daughter of Justin C. and Effie (Booe) Adair. She married Kenneth H. Rhodes Sept. 14, 1929 in Veedersburg. He preceded in death Aug. 30, 1997. She was a homemaker and served as trustee and treasurer for Rockfield Cemetery for 40 years. She was the assistant manager for the Veedersburg Drive-In Theater. Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth “Hap" (Billie Jo) Rhodes, Crawfordsville and William (Marilyn) Rhodes, Kouts; a daughter, Glenda (Richard) Moran, Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m. Thursday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Glenda Woodcox officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the Alzheimer Association or Rosewalk Village Memory Care Unit, 1903 Union St., Lafayette, Ind. 47905. – jlr
