Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rhodes, 116 W 7th St, Veedersburg left Tuesday for Berkley, California where they were called by the tragic death of their son, John Albert, 28 and his 5-month old daughter, Julie victims of an automobile accident. Other passengers in the car which was involved in a head-on collision on a California highway Monday evening were young Rhodes’ wife and two sons. Mrs. Rhodes is in serious condition in a Berkley Hospital. The two sons, David and John were not injured. Mr. Rhodes was a graduate of Perrysville HS and had served four years in the US Navy. The family moved to California from Covington two years ago. – kbz
