RHODE, Myron - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Myron L. Rhode of Covington, age 72, died Sunday morning, December 12, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Edgar County, Illinois, June 7, 1910, the son of Cecil and Flora Loop Rhode. December 21, 1939, he married Mabel Nichols, who survives. Rhode was a self-employed painter and interior decorator until retiring in 1970. He moved to Covington in 1975.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Ginger Coleman of Covington and Shirley Ann Kerner of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Helen McNeese of Metcalf, Illinois, and Thelma Carner of Newman, Illinois; three brothers, Carl of Rock Island, Illinois, Hugh of Metcalf and Orville of Chrisman, Illinois; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A son, Jerry, died in 1978.

  Graveside services and burial were Tuesday morning in Hoult Cemetery at Chrisman, Illinois, with Honnold and Son Funeral Home at Chrisman in charge. -s
