ATTICA — Edwin Eugene “Duke” Reynolds, 74, 407 E. Cedar St., Attica, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at his residence. He was born Oct. 9, 1927 in Attica, the son of Victor Rex and Martha Hutson Reynolds. He married Mabel J. Larson July 17, 1954 in Attica. She survives. He was a life resident of Attica, attending Attica High School. He first worked for Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and later worked for C & D Battery in Attica for 33 years, retiring in 1989. He was a veteran, serving in the U. S. Army, during peace time. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #2596 of Attica. In his early years he enjoyed bowling and softball. He was well known for his coaching the Giants team in Little League and the Reds team in Babe Ruth League in Attica. Survivors, besides the wife, include: a daughter, Janine Kay (Brett) Munson, Pine Village; two sons, Donnie Reynolds and Bobby (Rita) Reynolds, both of Attica, a sister, Zeta Mae Abolt, Attica; three brothers, Raymond La Vern Reynolds, Greenfield, Glen Thomas "Tom" Reynolds, Williamsport and Stephen Joe Reynolds, Attica; and six grandchildren, Matt Crockett, Cory Reynolds, Brianne Reynolds, Desi Reynolds, Aaron Reynolds and Travis Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. G. Scott Pattison officiating. Burial with military gravesite services were in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Little League Baseball Association. – jlr
