ELMDALE – Mrs. Carol Houser Reynolds, 32, former Emldale area resident died suddenly at 8:30 a.m. Friday at North Lake Community Hospital in Chicago. Death was attributed to heart failure induced by a diabetic coma. Mrs. Reynolds had lived with her family in Mt. Pleasant, Ill., a suburb on Chicago’s north side, the past six years. Prior to that the Reynolds family had lived in Sparkhill, N.Y. Born Sept. 23, 1938, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of John and Hazel Bever Houser. She was a 1956 graduate of Waynetown High School and a 1960 graduate of Purdue University. Mrs. Reynolds attended the Elmdale Methodist Church while in this area. She was married Oct. 27, 1962, to David Reynolds of Seattle, Wash. Survivors include the parents of near Elmdale; the husband; a son, John, and two daughters, Judith and Susan, all at home; a grandmother, Mrs. Effie Bever of Hillsboro; four sisters, Mrs. Rowena Gerenseer of Milford, Ind., Mrs. Luella Dean of Lebanon, Mrs. Judith Goranowski of California and Mrs. Anita Johnson of Kokomo, and a brother, Larry Houser of near Elmdale, and seven aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Kenneth Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday. – jlr
