Gurli Rentz, 82, of 305 Lincoln St., Williamsport, died 5:45 p.m. Monday at Home Hospiltal, Lafayette, where she had been a patient for one week.

She was bornin Sweden on May 29, 1887, the daughter of Henry and Mathilda Rydstrom. She had formerly lived in Chicago where her husband was a plumber and operated a hardware store. She was married to Edward Rentz, who preceded her in death in 1967. She had been a resident of Williamsport for about three years. She had attended the Free Methodist Church in Attica, and was a member of the Svithoid Singing Club in Chicago.

She is survived by one sister, Ethel Frostenson, of Chicago.

The body was taken to DeSutter Funeral Home and will be transferred to the Edgar Anderson Funeral Home in Chicago for services and cremation. Entombment will follow at Acacia Park at Norridge, Ill.
