Jack L. Rennick, 63, of Attica, died at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital on Thursday, September 7, 2000 at 4:53 a.m. He had been admitted earlier in the evening. He had suffered from multiple sclerosis. Born in Logan Township, Fountain County, on August 3, 1937, he was the son of Richard “Pete” and Edna Marie (Haas) Rennick. A 1956 graduate of Attica High School, he was a life-long resident of the area. Jack worked at C & D Technologies in Attica for 23 years, retiring in 1988. He was a veteran, serving in the U. S. Navy. He attended the Attica Free Methodist Church and was a life member of VFW Post #3318 in Attica. During his past time he enjoyed socializing with friends at the Attica McDonalds and was an avid IU basketball fan. His marriage was to Suella Fletcher on March 27, 1964 in Veedersburg. She survives. Also surviving, are: his mother, Marie Rennick of Attica; three daughters, Peggy Ann (Paul) Johnson and Ronnie Sue Blanton of Danville, Ill., and Jackie (John) Kasprzak of Abilene, Tex.; three brothers, Richard Rennick of Naperville, Ill., Rick Rennick of Attica, and Ronald Rennick of Williamsport; a sister, Karen (Carl) Greer of Marshfield; five grandchildren, Abby, Amanda, John Michael, Adam and Emily. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Irene Rennick, Rose Lee Rennick and Violet Mattingly, along with a brother, Larry Rennick. Memorial military graveside services were held in Riverside Cemetery, Attica on Saturday with Rev. Marcos Gilmore officiating. Memorials may best be expressed by donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, in charge of local arrangements. – jlr

Survivors, besides the wife, are: his mother, Marie Rennick, Attica; three daughters, Peggy Ann (Paul) Johnson, Danville, Ill., Ronnie Sue Blanton, Danville, Ill. and Jackie (John) Kasprzak, Abilene, Texas; three brothers, Richard Rennick, Naperville, Ill., Rick Rennick, Attica and Ronald Rennick, Williamsport; a sister, Karen (Carl) Green, Marshfield; five grandchildren, Abby, Amanda, John Michael, Adam and Emily. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Irene Rennick, Rose Lee Rennick and Violet Mattingly and a brother, Larry Rennick. Memorial military graveside services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with the Rev. Marcos Gilmore officiating. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, was in charge of arrangements.
