Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Veedersburg - Funeral services for Fern Rennick, age 69, native and lifelong resident of Fountain County, were held at 1 p. m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. He died at 8:30 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at his home at 406 N. Walnut St. Mr. Rennick was born May 11, 1893 in Fulton Twp. He was married June 3, 1914 to Reba Blanche Mitchell, who preceded him in death June 18, 1957. He was married again Dec. 13, 1958 to Anna Marie Watkins, who survives. He had worked in the Coffing apple orchards for several years. He also was a retired janitor at the State Highway Garage, south of Sterling. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Winifred Lockett of Hartford City; three sons, Robert and Rudolph of Indianapolis, and Richard of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; two stepsons, Joe E. Harper of Madison, Wis., and Jerry L. Harper of Attica. The Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard officiated at the services and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. Pallbearers were: Layman, Russell, Louis and Charles Mitchell and Dennis and Larry Lockett.   --typed by Walt W

Veedersburg, Ind - Fern Rennick, 69, died at 8:30 p.m. Wedneday, Jan 30, 1963 at his home at 406 N. Walnut St. He was born May 11, 1893, in Fulton Township, Fountain County. He was married to Retha Blanche Mitchell June 3, 1914. She died on June 18, 1957. He then married Anna Marie Watkins Dec 13, 1958. Mr. Rennick worked for the Coffing Bros. Orchard for several years and also as a janitor at the state highway garage at Veedersburg. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Winifred Lockett of Hartford City, Ind; three sons, Robert and Rudolph, both of Indianapolis and Richard of Denver, Colo; six grandchildren; stepfather, Albert West of Cates, Ind; two stepsons, Joe E. Harper of Madison, Wsc and Jerry L. Harper of Attica. The body is at the Bodine & SHelby Funeral Home for services at 1 p.m. Saturday.   -- kbz
